
Tamim Asey
Tamim Asey is the Founding Partner and CEO of two cutting-edge tech ventures: Intelligence Fusion Lab and the Digital Defense Initiative (DDI). Intelligence Fusion Lab explores the cooperation, competition and conflict between human and machine intelligence focusing on the evolving relationship between carbon-based and silicon-based cognition. DDI specializes in digital authoritarianism, AI and terrorism, surveillance systems, and digital civil defense.
He is also affiliated with the Institute of War and Peace Studies (IWPS) and serves as a Senior Visiting Fellow at King’s College London. A graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS), Mr. Asey formerly held senior roles in the Government of Afghanistan including Deputy Minister of Defense.
Mr. Asey is a Fellow at the Asia Society and a Fulbright Scholar with a master’s degree from Columbia University.
